Hi Mark,

I can't believe that someone else wants to try this either! I've had a look at your site (it looks great) and it seems you are much more organised than me -I worked out many of my routes either as I walked or on the tube on the way to each days starting point. I think with all your 'points of interest' you should be able to write an interesting account.

I've added a link to your site on this page and as you are doing it for a good cause I've given you a £10 donation.

It would be very interesting when you are finished to overlay both sets of walking tracks on top of each other to see how our routes differ. Good luck with your walking and I'll definitely be following your progress to see how it goes.

Congratulations! That's a great achievement. :-)

I should know, because on Monday I set off on my own tubewalk along the LU network. I've been planning my route since about September, and finally I'm ready to go; we must have come up with the idea at around the same time, so big respect for managing it first! My current plan is to take 42 days in June, July and August, writing and taking photographs as I go, and putting them up on my website at www.tubewalker.com - sounds familiar, eh? :-) Great minds, and all that...

I'd love to make contact, if possible, just because I can't believe that there's someone else out there who's mad enough to walk the tube. I love the website, too - clean, easy to navigate, and lovely photos. I'm honoured to be following in your footsteps - bravo!

All the best,

Mark

I think I'll have a break for a while before trying anything like this again!

At the start of the project I was wondering whether I should include any of the Overground, DLR or Tramlink, but I think I did the right thing by just doing the 12 tube lines.
