Liverpool Street to Bank

On leaving Liverpool Street station I go down Old Broad Street. In front is Tower 42 formerly known as the Natwest Tower. It is the tallest building in the City of London. Another highly visible building is the former London Stock Exchange Tower.

After Tottenham Court Road station New Oxford Street becomes Oxford Street. The shopping street is full of people and buses at this time of day.

Just this week there was a story that people carrying advertising boards might be banned from Oxford Street in an attempt to make the area more upmarket. I pass the Plaza shopping centre and then reach Oxford Circus tube station.
