Stratford to Liverpool Street Tube Walk

Stratford to Mile End

Next I walk south west on the High Street which is a busy street that connects with the A12.

The road goes over the Waterworks River, the City Mill River and the River Lee. They all lead to Bow Creek which itself heads into the Thames. As I pass Cook’s Road I spot an interesting job board, presumably not in use anymore.

On a wall is some graffiti of a cat scaring some mice with a fish close by. Further along Bow Road is Mile End tube station.

Mile End to Bethnal Green

I walk towards the Green Bridge. From this angle the name is puzzling as the bridge appears yellow. If you climb the stairs then you can see why it has its name.

There are some good sights as I walk through Mile End Park.

I climb up to Roman Road, head west and then arrive at Bethnal Green tube station.

Bethnal Green to Liverpool Street

There are plenty of shops and restaurants along Bethnal Green Road.

I then walk down Schoreditch High Street, Bishopsgate and then turn into Liverpool Street where I get to Liverpool Street tube station.

Central Line Walk – Day 4 Summary

This section from Woodford to Liverpool Street took about four and a half hours. If you need a break on the way then a good place to stop on the way is at the shopping centre opposite Stratford tube station.
