Surrey Quays to New Cross

East London Line Walk
11th December 2007

As I head down Trundley’s Road the housing changes dramatically from new flats to old houses.

At the point where Trundley’s Road goes under a train track there is something that could either be a piece of art or a piece of graffiti depending on your opinion. It is by someone calling himself ‘Arofish’.

Near Rolt Street I finally catch sight of a train whose tube line I’m following.

It is amazing just how quiet this area of London is. I saw almost no one between Surrey Quays and New Cross. There are plenty of houses but no life or people. Maybe they are all at work.

A turn onto New Cross Road gets me to New Cross station.
